Video of Waterberg painted wolf collaring effort

The video below is a great insight into the work that the Waterberg Wild Dog Initiative (WWDI) does to monitor and protect painted wolves in the Waterberg Biosphere in South Africa. This is a free-roaming population that often comes into severe danger on unprotected private land. This particular intervention was conducted in partnership with the Aspinall Foundation.

WWDI is working with the community to mitigate conflict and increase local tolerance for painted wolves. Their goal is to create a sustainable environment where landowners and painted wolves can coexist.
