Scientific paper to be published on the baboon-eating painted wolves of Mana Pools

Painted Dog Conservation has achieved another world first.

PDC’s scientific advisor, Dr. Esther van der Meer, in collaboration with the BBC, has written a scientific paper about preferential predation on baboons by painted wolves in Mana Pools. The paper has been accepted for publication in the scientific peer-reviewed journal Behaviour.

PWF Trustee, Nicholas Dyer, originally broke this story in National Geographic, featuring his stunning pictures of this unusual and never-before-seen behaviour.
