The Zambian Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) within the Ministry of Tourism and Arts have just launched the National Conservation Action Plan for Cheetah and African Wild Dog for Zambia (2019-2023) during an official ceremony held in Lusaka yesterday morning. This is great news and represents an important commitment at the highest level of authority within the country to protect painted wolves.
Have a look at the Minister of Tourism and Arts’ speech and the cover page of the new action plan HERE!
A huge round of applause to the outstanding Zambian Carnivore Programme (ZCP) along with the Range Wide Conservation Program for Cheetah and Wild Dog (RWCP), Â the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for their efforts in making this momentous step possible.
Now the hard work begins and we wish all the stakeholders success in the implementation of this strategy!
