Support all Wildlife by Supporting Painted Wolves…
Did you know that by supporting the conservation of the painted wolves you are actually supporting all wildlife?
As a highly sensitive apex predator, their presence indicates a balanced ecosystem and is a demonstration of their positive impact.
Here’s how…
Painted wolves control the population of herbivores ensuring the landscape does not get over grazed and depleted.
Painted Wolves take out the weakest of the herbivores ensuring that the fittest survive and that the herds of impala, kudu, warthog etc remain fit and healthy.
By competing with other predators, the painted wolves help to prevent lions, hyenas and leopards etc over dominating the landscape.
Painted wolves frequently come into conflict with local livestock rearing communities. The conservation solution is to support human/wildlife coexistence strategies that brings benefits to both communities and the wildlife ecosystem alike.
By supporting the conservation of the painted wolf, your impact is felt across all wildlife and surrounding communities creating a more harmonious environment for all.
The Painted Wolf Foundation and the Painted Dog Fund are the only two organisations that are totally dedicated to supporting the conservation of the species across the whole of Africa.
Together, we are working across the Continent to support projects and initiatives that are making a transformational impact and contributing to our goal of doubling their numbers.
On this World Wildlife Day, please join us on our journey to secure the future of the highly endangered painted wolves and the communities and animals they live alongside.
Your donation, however large or small will make a real difference!
With very best wishes

HOW TO SUPPORT PAINTED WOLVES AND ALL AFRICAN WILDLIFE
Painted Wolf Foundation and the Painted Dog Fund are the only two organisations that are totally dedicated to supporting the conservation of the species across the whole of Africa.
Together they act in tandem, each providing a critical service to securing the future of the painted wolf. Whichever organisation you choose, your donation brings huge benefits to the species.
Painted Wolf Foundation
PWF has developed a strategy to double the number of painted wolves over the next three decades, thus taking them from the edge of extinction. It analyses, develops and creates investment opportunities that will make a transformational impact to the species. PWF provides continuous monitoring and support to ensure the highest investment impact. In addition, PWF provides specific support services such as conservation training and creates initiatives that benefit all painted wolf populations across all geographies.
Painted Dog Fund
The Painted Dog Fund is a granting mechanism for raising and deploying funding to projects and initiatives that protect painted dogs in Africa. It is a partnership between the Painted Wolf Foundation and the Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN). The Painted Dog Fund offers donors a way to collectively pool their funding which the Painted Dog Fund then allocates to the best projects and initiatives that protect painted dogs, thereby maximizing donor impact. The Painted Dog Fund is professionally managed by PWF and WCN, and 100% of the money raised is invested in the projects and initiatives developed by PWF.
Who do I donate to?
There is no wrong choice and both need your support to secure the future of the painted wolf. Funds surplus to the needs of the Painted Wolf Foundation are channelled to the Painted Dog Fund.
The Painted Wolf Foundation and the Painted Dog Fund are the only Africa-wide organisations totally focused on securing the future of the painted wolf.
We cannot do this alone, but together with your help, we can save the painted wolf from extinction!
