What does it take to save a species?

🐾 What does it take to save a species? 🐾

That’s how I opened my talk at the Wildlife Conservation Network’s (WCN) Expo in San Francisco earlier this month.

In the talk I share what the Painted Wolf Foundation and the Painted Dog Fund are doing together to save the painted wolf – highlighting our strategy, the projects we are supporting, and the incredible initiatives we have underway to protect the species across the whole of Africa.

If you missed Expo this year, and you have a few spare minutes, please click on the link below. The subject is our passion and I hope you enjoy watching my talk as much as I enjoyed delivering it.

And as we move towards the end of the conservation rollercoaster of 2025, please consider donating to the Painted Dog Fund. A generous supporter will match your gift and double the impact you make, helping us to reach more places, and dig deeper into the areas where the painted wolves need our help.

Let’s make 2026 a turning point for these remarkable animals and each play a part in answering my opening question “What does it take to save a species?”. Because, at the end of the day, the bottom line is – “It’s all of us together”.

With best wishes,
Nick

P.S. To our generous match enabler – you prefer to remain anonymous but thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your passion for the painted wolves keeps us all inspired and motivated.
