Part of the Pack – The First Update
What an incredible few months it has been since we launched the Painted Wolf Foundation, just under three months ago. As you will read in this newsletter, it’s been an action-packed time.
And we couldn’t have done it without any of you!

Successful kickstarter campaign raises OVER £60,000!
Due in no small part to your support, the Painted Wolf Foundation raised a phenomenal £60,830 from its successful Kickstarter campaign to publish Painted Wolves: A Wild Dog’s Life, with all profits going to the Painted Wolf Foundation. Helping us to raise over three times our original goal of £20,000, we are so grateful to the 439 backers who put their support behind the painted wolves!
It takes a village… or a pack!
So many people and organisations helped us along the way. The list is long! WCN and Tusk shared the message through their extensive networks, and donated tickets to their events in October 2018. David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) not only donated adoption packages, as well as a number of pieces of beautiful painted wolf art, but spread the word far and wide.
African Bush Camps, Wilderness Safaris, Chilo Gorge Lodge, Africa Albida, and Bonis Air not only provided incredible safaris as rewards, but also promoted the campaign and raised the visibility of the painted wolf.
For those who can’t make the long trip to Africa, Port Lympne Reserve and Paradise Wildlife Park donated exciting opportunities to interact with painted wolves and wolves in the UK. The Remembering Wildlife campaign donated tickets to an exclusive launch event for Remembering Great Apes. Lin Barrie has been a tireless supporter of the campaign, and donated two beautiful pieces, one of which is still available!
We also had a number of wonderful rewards donated by Painted Dog Conservation. We received incredible support from Stichting PDC, PDC UK, and PDC Inc, Painted Wolf Wines, and the Wildlife Trading Company. Co-author Nick Dyer donated a number of signed limited edition prints to the campaign. And our wonderful Conservation Partners pitched in too!
