The Okavango Wilderness Project (OWP) works in close collaboration with the governments of Angola, Namibia, and Botswana to address key targets of the National Action Plan for the Sustainable Management of the Cubango/Okavango River Basin.
A partnership between the Wild Bird Trust and National Geographic, the OWP is committed to the sustainable management of the Okavango Basin for the benefit of both biodiversity and the local communities that depend on these pristine watersheds.
Painted wolves are seen occasionally by the OWP teams, and this is likely an important range area for the species.
