WCN protects endangered wildlife by supporting conservationists who ensure wildlife and people coexist and thrive.

Since its inception in 2002, WCN’s objective has been to equip effective conservationists with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

They find the best entrepreneurial organisations and invite them to receive in-depth, ongoing support by joining their Network of Conservation Partners. They provide them with the financial resources, tools, and services they need to effectively protect wildlife.

In 2014 WCN launched their first Wildlife Fund, offering flexible grants to projects in order to protect threatened species across their habitats. Each fund amplifies donor support by combining contributions, allowing for the biggest impact possible.

These funds have raised over $125 million over the last decade and have made a substantial impact on the conservation of their species across Africa.

In 2024, WCN partnered with PWF to establish the Painted Dog Fund. This Fund is delivering significant benefits to painted wolves across Africa and, through collaboration with the other Wildlife Funds, is providing vital support to the landscapes they inhabit.
