Diane Skinner Conservation MBA Scholarship for an African Woman.
Diane believed that for African Wildlife to survive and thrive in the future, the leadership of conservation organisations had to be in the hands of Africans, in particular women.
Di always carved out time in her busy life to contribute to this empowerment. She was most proud of her position as “Conservation in Residence” at the ALU’s School of African Wildlife. There she taught undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as those doing Conservation MBA courses.
She was always impressed at the calibre of students she taught and felt the future of wildlife was in good hands.
In celebration of her life, commitment and vision, PWF, the African Leadership University and the Wildlife Conservation Network are proud to offer the Diane Skinner Conservation MBA Scholarship for an African Woman.
The inaugural award will be announced at the 2026 ALU Business of Conservation Conference held in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Diane Skinner Conservation MBA Scholarship for an African Woman
Diane believed strongly in supporting African women to become leaders in the field of conservation. The Painted Wolf Foundation, WCN and the African Leadership Universities School of Wildlife Conservation is bringing her vision to life through an MBA scholarship.
The scholarship is designed to encourage future African women leaders in conservation and equip them with the leadership skills and knowledge to run conservation projects in Africa.
The scholarship is supported by Wildlife Conservation Network’s Rising Wildlife Leaders initiative, which aims to empower local conservationists by providing them with financial support, educational resources and professional training, hands-on experiences, invaluable mentorship opportunities, and access to peer support networks.
By helping these leaders either start or sustain their conservation careers, we will have a greater and more lasting impact for wildlife around the world.
The inaugural winner of this award will be announced at the 2026 Business of Conservation Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.
