Stunning photograph of painted wolves by Nicholas Dyer honoured by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition

Nicholas Dyer, co-author of Painted Wolves: A Wild Dog’s Life, and Trustee of the Painted Wolf Foundation is a finalist in the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2018 for his photograph “Ahead of the Game”.

The photograph will feature in the upcoming coffee-table book Painted Wolves: A Wild Dog’s Life that he has co-authored with conservationist Peter Blinston. All profits from the sale of the book go to the Painted Wolf Foundation.

Now in its fifty-fourth year, Wildlife Photographer of the Year showcases extraordinary animal behaviour and the breathtaking diversity of life on Earth. Chosen from over 45,000 entries by expert judges, the images were awarded for their creativity, originality and technical excellence.
