Scientific paper on baboon-eating painted wolves now published!

We’re excited to finally share with you the full published scientific paper on the baboon-eating painted wolves of Mana Pools!

The article has been published in the journal Behaviour and was written by Painted Dog Conservation (PDC)’s Dr. Esther van der Meer, in collaboration with the BBC. It explores how baboons have become part of the regular diet of the painted wolves of Mana Pools National Park.

This behaviour was captured by wildlife photographer Nick Dyer in an incredible photograph honoured by the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
