The mission of the Mara Predator Conservation Programme (MPCP), a programme of the Kenya Wildlife Trust (KWT), is to enable viable and sustainable large predator populations in the Greater Mara Ecosystem.

MPCP monitors predator populations in the Greater Mara Ecosystem in southern Kenya. For painted wolves, they are looking at understanding resident Mara packs, their spatial ecology and conflicts with people in order to know where to focus conservation efforts.

The MPCP provides evidenced based information for policy and decision making, and works with the local community to promote predator conservation through activities that create awareness, engage and educate.
