Panthera’s mission is to ensure a future for wild cats and the vast landscapes on which they depend.

Although Panthera’s mission is related to wild cats, in Angola, they work in the Luengue-Luiana National Park to conserve large carnivores and their habitats. This includes painted wolves, of which there is a healthy population.

Panthera is putting in place a long-term monitoring framework, and is supporting the Angolan authorities in management of the national park, as well as conducting feasibility studies for tourism.
