New project to assess painted wolves in the Mara

We are very excited to find out about a new research project concerning painted wolves in Kenya!

The Mara Predator Conservation Programme (MPCP), which is a programme of the Kenya Wildlife Trust has been running a study since mid-2018.

The study aims to establish the status of painted wolf packs in the Greater Mara Ecosystem.

It will also collaborate with the Serengeti Wild Dog Conservation Project to gain insight into home ranges of collared dispersing wolves from the Serengeti.

We look forward to seeing what they find out and wish them all the best in this venture!
