Painted Wolf Wines has a dual mission – make delicious wine and support the conservation of the endangered African wild dog, or painted wolf.
In 2020, despite the challenges faced in both South Africa and the UK with Covid-related lockdowns, their loyal customers have ensured that the tap keeps flowing to support conservation in the field.
In South Africa, by the end of the year, a further ZAR 86,000 had been raised to support the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Wild Dog Range Expansion Project. This was in addition to the ZAR 67,000 raised earlier in the year.
In the UK, they handed over ZAR 123,000 to Tusk, who support painted wolf conservation in Botswana (Botswana Predator Conservation) and Zimbabwe (Painted Dog Conservation and African Wildlife Conservation Fund)
