Happy World Painted Wolf Day and this year
there is an extra reason to celebrate.
I have just come off a zoom call with the Painted Dog Fund Granting Committee and they have just approved grants totalling US$456,733 for painted wolf conservation projects across Africa.
These six PDF grants range from $15,000 to nearly $150,000, totally focused on painted wolf conservation in Kenya, Senegal, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
The recipients of these grants are all incredible conservationists, and three of these grants are for vast areas where no painted wolf conservation work is currently being carried out.
As these grants are made, we will be highlighting who and what these grants are for and the impact that they will make for the species. Stay tuned to our social media channels and forthcoming newsletters as we highlight the incredible work we are able to support.
Our grants to-date have now reached over US$1.5 Million!
While our work is far from done, on this Painted Wolf Day, I am so proud to look back and see how far the Painted Wolf Foundation and the Painted Dog Fund have come.
But above all I am so proud of you – our pack members and supporters, because we could not have achieved this without you on our journey! THANK YOU!
