Making an Impact

We are delighted to announce that our pack is growing and three new team members are taking up pivotal roles in putting painted wolves on the top table of conservation.

Ruth Kabwe, Will Donald and Alison Serfontein bring a range of talent across conservation, training and communications – strengthening our mission to secure the future for the painted wolf.

Having worked together for four years in the Musekese region of Kafue National Park in Zambia, Ruth and Will have become a powerful duo with experience working together in conserving painted wolves. Both will play a significant role in passing their knowledge on to the projects PWF and the Painted Dog Fund are supporting.

Ruth has stepped into the critical role of project manager. She oversees all grants and projects in the field, ensuring project development, building partner relationships and providing support post-grant to our partners across Africa.

Will is also involved in monitoring our projects and is taking the lead in building much-needed capacity in painted wolf conservation. Sharing his expertise and teaching best practices, Will is developing a new pool of expert painted dog conservationists, something that is currently lacking in the conservation sector Africa-wide.

Alison has broad experience across marketing and communications in both corporate and wildlife organisations, and is heading up the strategic communications and donor portfolio for PWF. Her work is central to amplifying the voice of the painted wolf, building awareness of the species and connecting supporters and donors with our aim to secure the future of the species.

Driven by expertise, commitment and their collective passion for painted wolves, the team brings new energy to PWF with the aim to create transformational change for the species.
